Ande Ka Funda - Authentic Indian Egg Dishes & Pure Vegeterian Street Food Reviews
A Taste of Surat in Toronto - Ande Ka Funda! During my vacation in Toronto, I was craving something spicy and authentic—food that would remind me of the vibrant streets of Surat. After some searching on Google Maps, I stumbled upon Ande Ka Funda, a place that instantly caught my attention with its stellar reviews. Deciding to give it a try turned out to be the best decision of my trip so far! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming staff, with the owner, Mr. Jigar, himself attending to the guests with such genuine hospitality that it instantly felt like home. The atmosphere was casual yet inviting, perfect for enjoying hearty, street-style Indian food. I started my meal with the Khada Pav, a classic from Manek Chawk that was pure nostalgia on a plate. The pav was perfectly toasted, and the flavors were incredibly authentic—spicy, tangy, and just the right amount of street-style magic! Next came the Surti Kheemo (Green Gravy), which honestly blew my mind. The rich, green gravy was aromatic, flavorful, and bursting with fresh spices. Paired with the soft, buttery pav, it was a taste straight out of Gujarat! The addition of Sosyo, the iconic Indian soda, was the perfect throwback to those good old days of enjoying street food with friends. To end this fantastic meal, I indulged in a Baraf No Golo crafted by Mr. Keval himself. I couldn’t believe I was sitting in Toronto—it felt like I was back on the streets of Surat, enjoying this icy delight in the summer heat. I also want to highlight our server, Hiral, who was the epitome of service-mindedness. She was attentive, quick, and always had a smile on her face. The whole experience was elevated by her exceptional hospitality. Ande Ka Funda is more than just a restaurant; it’s a journey back to the roots of Indian street food. If I could, I would request the Canadian government to add this gem to their list of must-visit places in Toronto. For anyone visiting the city, this is an absolute must-try—a taste of Surat right in the heart of Toronto. — If I could give more stars, I would!
We came in late at night straight from the airport to grab a bite and this place did not disappoint! They had very creative options to choose from and everything we ordered was delicious. The service was fantastic and I could even get a chai as takeout for the road ahead. Loved it!

We tried egg locho, peri peri cheese fries, Raja Rani, Chef Specil Ande ka Funda , veg toofani, Pav bhaji , Khada Pav, rose lassi, paan kulfi and sizzling chocolate brownies- followed by sweet Paan. We were a large group and tried all of the above recipes ! The recipes are perfect and taste yummy. The quality is amazing. Kids enjoyed the food too. If you want to get surprised as to how many different variety of recipes are possible with eggs then you must try this place. The place is very well maintained, service is quick and ample parking space is available too.
I recently visited this restaurant that truly impressed me. The variety of dishes on the menu was fantastic, offering everything from classic scrambled eggs to creative omelets and egg-based specials. Each dish I tried was bursting with flavor, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail. The taste was amazing, and I found myself savoring every bite. In addition to the delicious food, the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly and attentive(specially Manisha), making sure our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I can't wait to return to explore more of their egg-centric offerings!
We recently visited Ande Ka Fanda and were absolutely blown away by the food and hospitality. We tried the Surti Kheema in green garlic gravy, and it was nothing short of amazing — rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. To top it off, they served complimentary pav that paired beautifully with the kheema, and even offered us a hot cup of chai on the house. It’s the little touches like these that make a place truly special. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back for more! Thanks to Hinal for a great recommendation and to Bawan for helping with the order
Delicious food, warm hospitality, and a wonderful owner who is dedicated, hardworking and genuinely cares about the community. The staff is always friendly and makes the dining experience enjoyable. We make it a point to visit whenever we're in Etobicoke, even though we live in another city. The food quality and flavor are hard to beat, and the prices are very reasonable. They’ve recently added a lot more vegetarian options, with plans to expand the menu even further. We’ve tried several dishes, both vegetarian and with eggs, and every time, we’ve left happy and full. Highly recommend checking this place out!
Ande ka Funda promises to deliver surat style street food and I went with high expectations. The space is warm and welcoming - bright, cheery with egg murals and Bollywood music playing. We tried the Chefs Special Ande ka Funda that is a layered dish with creamy gravy, green spices, grated egg and a thin layer of egg at the bottom. We mopped it up with the buttered pav (bread). Moderately spicy but full of flavour - order it mild if you can't handle heat. We also got the mango lassi on the side. Service was quick and welcoming. They even gave us extra bread on the side. I am definitely returning in the summer to sit outdoors on their patio and enjoy all the Surati egg dishes they have to offer.
